2024 USMS Spring Nationals Update #2

Start the countdown. We’re only 14 days from the 2024 USMS Spring National Championship. We’re looking forward to a great event with lots of fast swimming. Our Spring Nationals page is continuously being updated with meet information, including results, and live coverage.

The psych sheets are now available. See below for seeding decisions and more important updates.

The sixth event will not be dropped. Swimmers will have the opportunity to swim all individual events entered.
The 1000 and 1650 freestyle will be deck-seeded slowest to fastest by entry time, regardless of age, men and women combined.
The 500 freestyle and 400 IM will be deck-seeded slowest to fastest by entry time, regardless of age, men and women separate.
All 50s,100s, 200s will be pre-seeded by age group, with the oldest age groups first, slowest to fastest within each age group, men and women separate.
Check-in for the events 400 yards and longer will be required by 7:00 p.m. Eastern the night before the event is contested. The check-in link will be posted on the event page starting Monday, June 17.

Swim in the Trials... pool!

All USMS members can access a once-in-a-lifetime experience swimming in the Trials pool at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday, June 21. Attendees will receive the commemorative towel pictured above and have a chance to meet Olympians including Cullen Jones, Rowdy Gaines, or Missy Franklin. Proceeds benefit USMS Adult Learn-to-Swim grants supported by the USA Swimming Foundation. Hurry, registration closes tomorrow, June 7!

Volunteers & Coaches

Here are two guaranteed ways to get a front row seat to all the action: sign up to be an On-Deck Coach or a volunteer.

The Coaches Committee assigns On-Deck Coaches each day of the meet as a service to all meet participants. These coaches will receive a hospitality pass for the day(s) in which they are assigned to this duty.

Volunteers wanted! Volunteers are a crucial element to the success of the meet. Contact Event Services if you have any questions.

Reminder - Per rule 105.1.2, the 2023-2024 USMS Top Ten short course yards season will be extended to include times from 2024 USMS Spring Nationals. The 2023-24 season will end June 24, rather than May 31.

Massage Information

Ronin Bodywork will have a team of licensed massage therapists available for services on the pool deck throughout the event. A variety of different types of massage are available including pre-event, post-event, cupping, or deep relaxation. Schedule online to book an appointment for 15 minutes ($25) or 30 minutes ($50). Massage services will be open 8 AM to 4 PM every day.

Parking & Spectator Information

The Sports Garage, located next to the IU Natatorium, will have Event Parking available for $7/day. This includes in & out privileges during the day. Participants who utilize ride share apps such as Uber or Lyft are encouraged to use the West Entrance off of University Blvd as a pick-up/drop-off spot.

Spectators are welcome to attend. There are no spectator admission fees. More facility information and policies will be provided in future email updates.
